Dress for Success Palmerston North is committed to reducing carbon emissions by reducing textile waste to landfills.

Extending the life of a single garment significantly reduces its total environment footprint by reducing emissions created during manufacturing, transport and disposal.

We follow ethical distribution processes, using the most suitable clothing for our client styling service. Items that don’t meet this criteria are used for our Aroha Bags project and then go into our recycle Boutique.

Finally, items that aren’t suitable for the above are responsibly redirected to partner organisations, extending their life and keeping them out of landfill

We prioritise waste minimisation and only items beyond repair are disposed of.

We gratefully received donations from our community that are:

• Work-appropriate (suitable for interviews and workplaces)

• Clean and tidy

• In good condition - no stains, holes, pilling or fading.

• Modern and current styles (within the last 5-7 years)

• Seasonally appropriate
